Purpose

We are seeking a QA Tester to join our fast-paced and growing business. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through manual and automated testing. We are looking for a candidate with experience in automated testing using tools such as Selenium, as well as a strong understanding of software development processes and methodologies.

This position offers the opportunity for remote work with occasional meetings in our office (1-2 times per month).

Role Profile

  • Develop and maintain test plans and test cases based on requirements and specifications.
  • Execute manual and automated tests to validate the functionality and performance of our software products.
  • Work closely with the development team to identify and debug issues and provide feedback on code quality and testability.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and user needs and provide feedback on how to improve the quality and usability of our products.
  • Continuously improve the testing process by identifying and implementing best practices, development patterns, and automation tools.
  • Keep up to date with the latest testing techniques and technologies and provide guidance and mentorship to other team members.
  • Report on testing progress and results, including defects and risk assessment, to stakeholders and project managers.

Person Specification
You will have...

  • Strong experience in manual and automated testing, with a focus on automated testing using tools such as Selenium.
  • Experience with test case management and defect tracking tools, such as JIRA.
  • Knowledge of software development processes and methodologies, such as agile.
  • Strong understanding of QA best practices, including test design, test execution, and test automation.
  • Experience with scripting languages, such as Python or JavaScript, for automation purposes.
  • Familiarity with different types of testing, such as functional, performance, regression, and compatibility testing.
  • The ability to write clear and concise test reports and communicate testing results effectively to stakeholders and project managers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to identify and debug issues quickly.
  • Familiarity with web technologies and standards, such as HTML, CSS, and HTTP.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with cloud-based testing tools and platforms.
  • Experience with continuous integration and deployment pipelines, such as Jenkins.
  • Experience with performance and load testing tools, such as JMeter or Gatling.
  • Knowledge of cross-platform and cross-browser testing.
  • Experience with accessibility testing and compliance with accessibility standards.
  • Knowledge of security testing and vulnerability assessment.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies, such as Scrum.
